Basang Sisiw! Colored Version ;p

one of the famous phrases being used by Filipinos whenever referring to a person who loses with matching slump shoulders,or a kid who just got a smacked from his/her parents, or anything to that effect is "parang basang sisiw!" (wet chicks) me myself even uses that for so many times but really, i never had and idea of what is a basang sisiw actually looks in person. funny, that i was able to capture not one but two not yellow, but red and blue little chickens all wet! blame it to my little niece who after winning from a one peso raffle this chicks during the town fiesta let the poor lil' ones get all drenched up in the rain. so here it is... the real BASANG SISIW!

last week when we are on our way home after a whole day at divilandia we past this slum area somewhere in Manila..i can't help but feel really sad for the people who weren't given enough of almost everything, well of course for numbers of children one family has. which makes me think why they have to tolerate on having more than three children in a family, i mean, they can't even have a descent home for their children, when you look at their house construction you can't help but fear on the safety and the materials it was made of. and mind you, most of the houses lives usually more than five persons, you wonder how can an uber tiny house can accommodate number of individuals dwelling in it.
hay, i can't help but feel shame on how much i sometimes spend on things really not that necessary, how i prepare items and loots for my daughter's birthday that i just learned when i computed my purchases that i was way out of the budget just for the souvenirs and toys for prizes, when there are many kids in the slums who doesn't even have a descent clothes to wear and toys to play. hay, life can sometimes be so unfair noh? yeah, given that divi goods are really cheap but still, something in my heart says it's just simply unfair. i wish, the people who's living this kind of life can have a chance to get their life a better phase. i hope the government give focus on them, that they can provide family planning awareness amongst many other ways to improve their lives. my family doesn't have much really, that sometimes i questioned God why we are not rich, why there are still things that i would love to have but is really impossible for now for me to have, that sometimes i ask why i can't have this and that. but whenever i see this kinds of things, i became the most thankful person in the world. for the life, the simple life that my family has now.

whew! i guess i should call this a day! :) my head is aching now, just finished doing the opps that are due today. i wonder why PPP is so silent the whole day and not showering some opps? hmmmm.... do you guys where able to snatch one from them today? or it's just me who wasn't lucky enough to get a glimpse of the white and green shaded opps? :)

howell, there can always be tomorrow di ba?! now it's time to be a mother and wife to the most important person in my life. the ones thats giving me the drive to write and talk about everything and anything with love and passion! naks! tibay noh?! oh, siya tama na ang palakas... i need to roger out now.. before the husband gets mad with me being a tamang adik mag-blog!

tomorrow is a sunday... let us not forget to say our thanks and prayers to our mighty Father for the wonderful life we all have... and for the unexpected gifts he keeps on showering us.. and for the opps and moolahs we now enjong...

this is one of the usual scene whenever Olin has a doll or something... as if she's talking to her that she keeps on babbling words no one can understand. i wonder if the doll talks back to her? that's why she has this never ending talkaton session with it. lokaloka ko mag isip noh?! hehehehe....

holloween parties

Halloween is just around a corner, and would you believe in my age today and with my status as a wife and a mother i got three invites for a holloween costume party?! nyak! yep, you just got that right folks... three! i mean, what the heck is that? it could have happen a few years back when i was still a little younger and really into those kinds of gimmicks and stuff! uber fat kaya ako ngayon! hahahahaha... ano naman i-co-costume ko?! marshmallow girl?! weeeeeehh! before i remember how i wanted to be part of those costume parties during holloweens and how i wish to dress up like Elvira from Adam's Family.... hehehe...
anyhoo, Olin will join his cousin in one kiddie costume party on the 27th, thank goodness for my friend Leah who lent us baby costumes i can choose from for Olin, i guess she'll wear the pumpkin costume. and afterwards another Trick or Treat party at Leah's residence in Cavite... whew! hectic holloween for us! can you suggest costumes for me and hubby? hmmmm....

Olin's 9th month

whew! we just came home from my in-laws place, remember my MIL, SIL and daughter had a sleep over here last night? well just this morning FIL picked us all up to spend the whole day in their house :) we weren't supposed to come with them but today is a really special day for the princesses of the clan... it's Olin 9th and Gab's 3rd month birthday! hooray! :)
MIL cooked yummy spaghetti, fried chicken and bought a chocolate torte cake from Red Ribbon! :) uber delicious merienda for everyone! :)
we all thank God for the healthy babies in the family :) yes, Olin got back her appetite and now in her blast kutatatera mode... just like her mom :p ... and for a few days now she's been a Yakult baby! she loves it so..and not only that, she drinks it with a straw cup! yep... she does that now, sip and all :)
right now i'm cramming for the paid opportunity just waiting to get snatch by who else? the hungry wolf ME! :) be back later... i'll do some money while my birthday brat is sleeping... ssshhhh...

back

We are back! :) after two days of short stay at the resort... we forgot about a commitment with the car, my aunt is coming home and the car was borrowed by my cousin. so we left my MIL and FIL who'll have a 3 more days stay. anyways, this lappy is still missing some components and i cannot upload pics and videos. demet. i need to bring this to the repair shop and have the OS properly installed. goodness! my head is really aching now, i need to take meds or else everything else will be black in a moment. MIGRAINE!!!! i hate this.
anyways, my little brat has a cough. poor little baby... after 8 plus months, this is her first time to have one. and she keeps on coughing. maybe the cold temp of the mountains caused it. we need to bring her to her pedia pala later. be back with more stories and yes, i'll post my first ever fishing experience! :)

it has been months ago when i started thinking on getting my own domain. for those who doesn't know (as if there is any) yours truly is into paid blogging. yes. i make money through nosebleed. and yes indeed, i am suffering and is continually having an internal bleeding! :) my brain is indeed hurt by all the stories and posts all written in English! but don't worry, i'm getting through all of it! head up! :) with moolah in each hand... hehehe... well, a little less than the great mighty bloggers who have been earning real big. i'm just you know, starting and doesn't have much... yet. i'm keeping my hopes up in grabbing more opps and being paid in larger amounts, you see i'm still in the low level of pay outs here... well because i still have a lot of things to do to make my site rank up . i'm still in PR3. not bad for a starter though.

anyhoo, ive'd been chatting with blogger mommies who turned out to be my friends in the cyber world about getting our own domain... and finally, after all the sleepless nights of thinking and thinking all over again, i decided to get one. it's not a hard thing to decide, my domain name i mean. kathycot.com?! blunt or dull?! who cares! my brain is tweaked out to think of any better name for my own site.

anyways, i would like to say thanks and kudos to my blog mentor and gurus... Joy, Lutchi, Lizz you guys are my blogger angels! :)

but unfortunately, my site is not yet running,the last time i check it said that it is still coming soon... maybe tomorrow we'll see. i'm crossing my fingers now, that i was able to set it up correctly as what my friends told me to do so :)

honestly, i never came close to imagining that one day i'll get to have my own dot com. life is indeed full of surprises! i'm giddy happy!

my baker boy!

though at times we go through some bumpy rough roads and misunderstandings here and there did i say i'm thankful for having a very supportive man behind my every decision and trippings :) though at times we have dialogs before agreeing on things most of the time he just nod and let me do whatever i want. lately when we had our order of cuppies would you believe that most of the time we are preparing eh he was there to help us and even made the icing himself! well, with Paula's help of course...

i would love to write here the ingredients of our moist and yummy cupcakes but heck, im not familiar with it, i'll have to ask first my partner/baker Paula for the recipe and have it posted in here.. ayt?! :)

and taaaaadddaaaannnn... my Baker Boy! doing the icing :) in fairness, he does good ah.. he knows how to call it done... feeling how the texture goes and all. :) so proud of him! was never shy in handling kitchen tools.. who says he only pros on cars and guns? hehehehe...

oopsie, but i guess he zeroed on the design noh? hehehe... but he claims this as his work of art and proud of it! :) hahahahaha!!!

this is my sister's latest addition to her bag collection. ive'd been seeing this type of bag design in multiply sites and i never had an eye of interest for this. until i saw this when sis bought this last week. nice indeed, and i saw celebrities flaunting the same bag! hmmm... bagay pa kaya sakin mga ganitong bags?! :) hehehehe...

anyhoo, i'm now chatting with one of my longest friend in the world, and she's broken hearted... hay, sometimes life talaga is so surprising. one day happiness ang drama, the next day crayola ka na... singleness nanaman ang lola ko now... she's ok naman daw pero i doubt it. minahal nya un kaya kahit paano i know she's hurting. i wish i can be at her side now, she need a friend more than anyone else. i hope she gets through it the fastest way possible.

howell, life has many unexpected twist and turns noh? honestly at times nangangarag ako how life works for us... pero what can i do? tao lang ako... we just have to make the most out of it. most of the time i have questions until now left unanswered. nagpapatong-patong lang.

Octoberfest na!

it's OCTOBER 1st already!!! :) the most awaited holidays is coming!!! :) firsts of everything for Olin, Christmas, New Year and her birthday! whew!!!

but heck, it's raining. makes me wanna lay down in bed and sleep.... but i can't. tama ka THET, busy-busyhan ako sa paid blogging! :) hahahaha... kaya walang updates. tska toyo pa din 'tong lappy ko, i can't upload pics :( demet.

We live where?!

do you wanna know where we live?!

we actually live in a province like place somewhere in Cavite... although we are inside a subdivision (uhuh) but unfortunately the developer still wasn't able to have the roads cemented. thus we still pass through the rough road streets. :( talk about dust during the hot summer days and mud all over during the rainy season. but we are getting used to it actually, besides who doesn't want fresh air and a peaceful environment? :) that's something we really love about the place. we have the friendliest neighbors, who still does 'bayanihan' with everything. helps my husband every time he does something and whenever he needs help, without expecting anything in return. sometimes during the afternoon yaya brings out Olin to the neighbors to make 'chicka' and stuff while i do my blogging or while preparing dinner. sometimes when Amiel gets home early we walk around the subdivision and spend the rest of the afternoon playing outside. here are some of the pics hubby took while we where outside the house...

we got lots of greens.... fresh and cold air during the afternoon :)

and yes, we still doesn't have a dog yet, not that we plan not to have one.. hubby being a pitbull and rott enthusiast, we are just waiting until Olin can appreciate pets maybe after she turns one year old. but for now, Olin settles herself by looking at her cow! :) not, my parent's cows...hehehe... i heard they'll give her one on her birthday... technically, the little one is hers... :) hehehe....

updates coming

it's sunday evening again... but it feels different now, before when i used to have an eight to five work, i have to be sleeping at this time because i have to gear up for monday work-- you see, i dunno really, but every start of the week traffic jam is so bad that it takes me an hour before i get to work when it's supposedly a 15minute drive. and even expect more of that terrible traffic if it's raining cats and dogs. anyhoo, as you can see i wasn't able to change my blog template, i really can't get it done with, maybe because i'm still loving the kitchen template. what i did is just remove some of the ad sites that is flooding my site--something i wasn't aware that ive'd been having tons of ads in here, and just leave what makes sense buttons and links. luckily, when i try to browse my page the pop up ad has been gone. hopefully forever. so there, i think i wouldn't have to change my template after all! :)

i have so many things to blog about but a lot of other things are keeping me away from doing it. expect me to flood my page with a lot of stories and chismax in a few more days. meanwhile, i'll have to put back to sleep the lil brat...

this is how she do it...

today marks my 10th day being a SAHM... so far so good. though there are still bagot (dull) moments in between, but its all good. :) there are so many things that Olin does which luckily i saw for the first time, like almost stumbling from her walker--head first! just this morning, she was about to pick up something from the floor! she can bend her body real good and had lost her balance, thank God i was there to stop the fall... i wonder what if i wasn't beside her? something terrible might had happened. i'll never be able to forgive myself then.
now for her latest tricks and updates, this is what she likes to do nowadays.. eat her socks! :) i find it so cute... we always put her socks on before she sleeps that even without anything to cover her body at night she wouldn't get cold, but lately we would always see her socks in her mouth! this is how she do it...

sometimes i keep on thinking what the heck she's getting from munching her toes?! :) her toys seldom entertains the little brat, what she really wants is her two little toes! i wonder until what age she'll be able to do this...

and this is her example of how walang poise she is whenever she's in deep sleep. girl na girl! hahahaha!

and tsaaaraaaan! the mother and daughter smileys! i guess she got the every morning-happy-mood from me... i always wanted to start my day with a smile... i believe when your happy when the time you wake up, everything else will follow! thank God for a super happy baby!

First Day SAHM

yep... it's my first day! how was it? i woke up early today, not because i used to waking up early for work,not. but because the little brat POKED my eye! hard enough to make my dreamyself come to life! bummer. but it's ok, although the original plan was to sleep until 8 in the morning you know, to charge myself for today's official first day SAHM. i was supposed report to the office for my clearance but was canceled because my requested affidavit of loss is not yet done. remember my stolen wallet, it has all my id's. that i need to surrender, but then again that monkey-thief had it all. syet na malagket!

since the brat is still playing in bed i decided to go online and had my webcam open, even at my out of bed looks i let my friends see me. and luckily, there are a few whose online, chitchat and all. i really miss them. and they missed me too, my friendster's comments and testimonials box are flooding with missing me messages from them, i guess ive'd been a good friend noh? :) i hope so.... having many good work friends is actually the hardest part of leaving my work, its not the pay honestly. it's them, whom i shared my laugh and happy times, the ones i shared hundreds of chismax, the ones i had an argument with and before the end of the day settle things down. the ones i shared coffee and lunch breaks. hay...

so there, after my short time chitchat in ym, i brought down olin and prepared her breakfast,Cerelac in Mixed Fruits and Soya. around 930 i bathed her and played with her for a while, around 1030 she had her nap and i chatted again with friends while finishing my paid opps. after which,i had my breakfast err, brunch actually.

swwwwooooosssshhhh...

its almost 4 in the afternoon, and im still here in front of the pc, done with 3 paid opps and a little bloghops, now im just finishing this post. the brat is again having her nap, yaya beside her. i wanted to take a nap too, but heard that taking afternoon naps means additional pounds. and i don't like that. :) i'll just pre-occupy myself with a lot of things though.

around 5 the husband will be coming home... oopps, that means i have to take my bath now! :) i know i know, i need to have my everyday schedule. i'll put the bath sessions in the morning. hehehehe...

Badtrip ka LUPIN!

nanakawan ang oto namin kanina sa parking ng SM Bacoor! bwiset talaga. sa dinami dami ng mga sasakyang naka-park kung bakit amin pa napagtripan! anak ng toochik talaga. eto pa masakit, sa ka-eng-engan ko ang dahilan. kung bakit diko dinala ang diaper bag ni Olin at kumuha lang ako ng 2 milk bottles at 1 diaper at nilagay ko na lang sa hand bag ko. ayun natangay ng damuhong magnanakaw! eto lang naman ang mga na-lupin ng hinayupak na yun. Diaper bag na jusme Wendy Bellisimo na pinadala kay Olin ni Lola galing States, 4 avent bottles, milk canister, diapers, pair of clothes ni Olin, Cologne, Baby Powder... hindi lang yan, eto pa... ka-engotan ko pa din... ang aming Digicam!!!! waaaahhhh... kung bakit kasi binitbitbitbit ko pa eh tas iiwan din naman pala sa sasakyan, wallet ko Fossil na katagal tagal kong binayaran ng installment! mga id's at credit cards. buti na lang ang lisensya ko eh dinala ko dahil mag-aaply ako ng Smart Bro. eto pa, ang Mary Kay make up kit ko na halos di ko gamitin kasi ayoko maubos! tapos nanakawin lang pala. hayupak talaga.
nanlalambot pa ko habang tinatapos ko tong post na toh. eto lang masasabi ko.... MAKARMA KA UNGGOY!
pasalamat na lang kame at di natangay ang pajero ng bukas kotse gang na yun, at tinangay lang ang bag. pero miski na lungkot pa din. :( huuuuwwwwwaaaaaaahhhhh!!!!!!

A Love Story

thank God it's Saturday... in a few more minutes pauwi na ko... tapos nanaman ang week na ito... sana magandang sunday meron tomorrow! :) after the mass san kaya magandang pumunta? hmmmm... let's see...

naku, sa wednesday pa naman ang showing ng A LOVE STORY nila Aga Muhlach... i heard from a chika na ang the other woman sa movie ay si Maricel Soriano?!!? it makes sense actually... tignan mo na lang yung trailer eh... i mean, so common naman kung si Angelica Panganiban nga naman ang magiging kerida ano... at ang house ni maricel...parang walang laman... 'tas lahat ng scenes with Angelica..madaming tao.. malaman natin yan...
ano sa palagay nyo? :)

Sick today :(

sorry for being absent in the blogging world lately... for the longest time, i was brain dead. i thought that it will come back to my normal 'kutatera' mode but heck, the bug stays with me longer. bummer. cannot complain with anything though, except the fact of having the stupidest boss ever, boy i can get stress too you know! knowing my rants and raves, hubby decided to brought me out last friday at Fisherman's Deck in Island Cove with my sil-bibsy and hubby Caloy... drinking session! :) had sisig and well fave crablets with the non-stop chikahan. went home around 3am. brain and body dead! :)
yeah, we also brought Olin to her pedia for her Rotarix oral vaccine. and stays the whole afternoon at our cousin's house in cavite city. Saturday and sunday was procrastinating days. no blog update nor blog hop for me.
then it hit me! sunday night, i felt cold and my eyes were feeling hot. had my temp check... dang! i got fever. took otc paracetamol and call it a night.. was almost awake during the whole night, i chill and my temp getting high. i had to move out of the room and stay at the living room, the ac makes me shiver more. i had to call off for work. Hubby brought me to the clinic and had my blood and urine examined. Slight infection causing fever and flu.
So there goes my story for now... hopefully i'll get better tomorrow...
But now, i have to go back my bed and rest....
i'm sabog with all the antibiotics and other medicines... bear with me...
