Li'l Dutch Girl Costume

I've mentioned on my other site about the Halloween costumes that I ordered from the US, two costumes actually for the little brat, a little confusion from choosing between the two cute outfits thus making Glo and I ordered both! We'd probably let her wear the other one next year since the size can cover up to 4 years old. Now the only thing we need to decide is what will be the 2009 costume for my daughter! We've been receiving Halloween party invitations already from friends so that means we will be very busy during this holiday occasion! We are indeed super excited! :D woot woot!

I miss...

my little baby...

time flies soooo fast! and my little brat who used to juggle her strut by gliding her walker now can walk, run, jump and speaks so fast! She sometimes hates to be hugged and carried --- two of the things she always wants before she hits 1.

Quick realization, I need to spend MORE time with my little brat, as much as I can...

girl charm

So as I've mention in my other blog, I am now in quest for cute designer costume jewelry for my daughter. It will be my Christmas gift for her, since her father already bought something quite expensive for her. And I wanted to give her a gift too, actually we are going to buy another one which will be from us, so as early as now, Olin will have three gifts from her parents! I'm really really excited for Christmas! for sure my daughter will be ecstatic once she saw her gifts! :D So what am I thinking of getting her? I am eying this sterling silver girl charm that can match her other silver jewelries, thinking of us wearing silver on New Year's day instead of gold, that's why. And besides, who wouldn't love this cute pendant? It is super meant for the little girls in the family!
Sterling Silver CZ Girl Charm
And by the way, its really cheaply price! for $17.50 I guess I can bag another two more items for the brat! :D Go check holstedjewelers.com for more of their nicely made jewelries and crafts! :D

It's getting cold in here...

That's why I decided to buy Olin this uber cute hoodie from Gap... so nice for her cold season attire noh? It's made of really really soft fabric and it suits her body so well! Ordered it online and was really surprise how fast the transaction/delivery went! Which made me convinced to buy some other stuff from the reliable seller, something to give for our niece's and Godchildren for Christmas... You see, I've been buying stuff for gifts as early as now, because I don't want to get harrased during the rush season :) and to date, I'm already 50% done with the gift shopping! yipee!

Laptop Talks

I was browsing my friendster photos a while ago when I saw this photos...

It made me realize how my daughter is growing up so fast! The above shot were taken when she was about nine months old, still trying out to stand on her own and reaching for things inside and yes, outside her crib! And one of her favorite thing to reach and touch is my laptop! My super loved techy gadget, I must admit, for if not for my ever reliable lappy, things wouldn't be the same as now. It has been with me for more than a year now, almost the same age as my princess daughter. And the purchase of this thing after so many price comparison moments is such a steal! Given the so many choices of different Toshiba laptops, I decided to get this Satellite L40, the first complete line up of ROHS compliant notebook. Super reliable and super environmental friendly too!

Here's another shot of my daughter when I caught her tweaking my unit! She was around thirteen months here, I was completely shocked and speechless when I first saw this, can you see how serious she was?! yes, she was blogging! lol

Fink and Siolet

Talk about the joys and fruits of feyd vlagging! uhuh. I just bought LeapPad Learning System for the little brat, another inereactive educational stuff from Leap Frog, yes, I am addicted to this brand. And although the system is still not suited for her age, I just let her tweak and use it for a while before I store it for keep, in the next few months when she's ready for reading, I'll let her use this thing, but for now, I would look for more leap pad items and children's books for her variations, I just need to make ipon, save, impok firts once again! :) This educational system is actually an interactive tool that is proven to encourage children to read in their own phase, and yes, I saw how Olin loves hearing the words as she tap the pen to the words written on the book! she was really amazed!

Here's something from the LF's website regarding this system:

Books magically come to life with voices, music, silly sounds and games while children learn to read. With the award-winning LeapPad® Learning System, children are always engaged, always having fun. And with more than 50 interactive book titles in the library, they'll be learning something new for years to come.

Children place a book on the LeapPad player, pop in the cartridge, and touch any page with the Magic Pen to hear words and stories read out loud, learn letter sounds, hear lovable characters come alive and play learning games. Each book is packed with engaging activities, games, stories and facts that make reading and learning fun.

LeapPad Backpack - Pink
the next on my list is this LeapPad Back pack, super terno with the unit eh!

**as of this writing, the fink learning leap pad has been kept by me, for future use.

On her own

My little princess eating french fries on her own one fine morning at Mc Donalds. I know, its carbo loading for the mommy, that is why I'm in the process of hunting effective diet pill that might just work for me. Well anyways, back to the little brat who so much loves eating french fries with kechup, can you see she's actually dipping the sticks on her own! Actually she didn't even bother to take a bite at her Tatay's burger and my pancakes because she only want fre-fries! I know, its bad to let her eat so much of oily foods, but what can I do? she really does want it! I guess I'll just have to lessen her intakes of such.

my bookworm

Lookie at my little reader! Taken one morning after she storms out of our bedroom, straight to her Barbie couch... you see she hates waiting for me while I finish my online stints :)
And this has been her morning routine, she picks up a book from her toy shelf and lay down once again, sometimes she sits or whatever she pleases as long as she is browsing her number book. Oh, she also has this alphabet and shape books! With numbers, she likes saying number 4 as "pow" and 8 as "et"....

I just have to document her morning routine so when she grows up she'll be able to see how early she starts flipping books :)

The husband and I just love it! who wouldn't?

her new pet

Let me share with you my daughter's latest photo with her aired dog given by her aunt. A dog lover just like her dad, plays with her newest toy almost 24/7! The husband and I are already thinking if now is the right time to get her a real dog, because whenever she sees one, she would happily calls the dog and says "aw,aw!" while trying to reach for it! See how happy she is in the pictures? imagine if its a real dog!

anyways, you might wonder why my daughter is so thin in the photos? no, shes not taking any weight loss pills for the record. lol. It's because she has cough and colds thats why no appetite at all, just milk and water and some orange juice are her likes right now. She also got allergies, from the kikiam i gave her a few days ago. Now she's taking some meds for the rashes. Bad mommy, I know. And I learned my lesson well.

love to read

Now here's another photo of my princess (who happens to look like a boy in this picture! lol) while she was flipping her Bible Story Book... maybe this is what she gets from me, the love for reading :) As per advise by one of my tita, one good bonding moment of a mother and daughter is reading, so as much as possible, aside from playing with her shapes sorting box, I read to her. Sometimes she would listen, sometimes she won't, given kids a short attention span, a good three to five minutes without distraction is a milestone, I tell you! Also, whenever I read a magazine or a newspaper, even if it makes me look like a lunatic or papansin I read the articles aloud so she can hear me reading. At times, I don't care anymore of what the story is about, be it about the celebrities or vacation spots like reno hotels or those famous beaches, I can't remember anymore, as long as I read everything aloud for the little brat to hear. Now that is love and attention right? :)

"nanay what? can't you see I'm reading here?!"

good morning

My toddler has been waking up with very good mood for weeks now, before she usually wakes up with a grinch attitude as if waking up at the wrong side of the bed. It's really nice actually, seeing her grin and super smile self when the husband and I open our eyes in the morning. Sometimes I wonder whats causing her happy mornings, was it the her mattress or her pillows that surrounds her? whatever it is, I am so thankful for it. And yes, she smiles for the camera one morning I caught her so happy and smiling. A happy morning smile!

Olin and her tatay got the same interest! and it spells out as D-O-G-S! i don't remember when she starts loving dogs but my mom knows it already because she saw Olin a lot of times having second look on every dogs they passed by while doing they afternoon bonding. same as his dad, you see the husband is into dog breeding. and right now, he has another toy... a Pit bull! that surprisingly Olin loves so much! but its still a no-no for the husband to get Olin so close to that big oh dog you know... not now, not ever (i hope).
anyways, this is what she got from her godmother yesterday... a toy stuff dog! and his name is Monty according to his name tag that she bought in one of the hotel in Vegas :)
