home theater

Hubby and I have been wanting to buy one of those hdtv for the longest time now, but the price is so high up to this writing and yes, there are still a lot of things that needs to be prioritize first that is why, even if we can avail of one, we just can't do the big jump for it. Anyways, what we don now is just search the web for those that are available for grabs, hoping, that we can get a good deal in the near future. Been seeing a lot of online stores that offers affordable units of lcd and plasma televisons in different brands, but of course, we are looking after for the best brands like Sony or Samsung. As expected there are so many units in the said brands, so nice and really wanting to be grabbed! Well, let's see, hoping for a good deals before the year ends or early next year when finances are not that high. I would really want to get one cool flat unit or one of those Home Theater San Diego by the Southwest Audio Visual! complete with the home theatre speakers, boosters and all the works! perfect for movie marathon with the whole family! Actually, I only want a simple set up just what my parents has in their house, something not so luxurious but the capacity and the effects is so strong the beats and base can really pump out great.

good news with the telecom

Yes, I am still, you know... blogging! Because this internet provider of mine is super slow that my connection even conked up on me a few times this morning, leaving me with no choice but to log out and wait until the connection is stable and fast. Waited the whole morning and afternoon, but nothing happened. It sucks, really. I had to call my provider for so many times so that they can atleast do the follow ups on their technical support or something. Anyways,on the other hand a cousin of mine is so ecstatic just right at this moment after receiving or hearing about this Spectrotel long distance news! Vague for me, but as she mentioned, this is what they are waiting for from their telecommunication provider. For it can practically make things easier for them in the States, I don't know how but I guess when it comes to their long distance capability or something. But I believe if you'll base it from her happiness and excitement, it'll probably be a very good way for her to communicate with her other friends and some relatives in another state or somewhere.

Laptop Talks

I was browsing my friendster photos a while ago when I saw this photos...

It made me realize how my daughter is growing up so fast! The above shot were taken when she was about nine months old, still trying out to stand on her own and reaching for things inside and yes, outside her crib! And one of her favorite thing to reach and touch is my laptop! My super loved techy gadget, I must admit, for if not for my ever reliable lappy, things wouldn't be the same as now. It has been with me for more than a year now, almost the same age as my princess daughter. And the purchase of this thing after so many price comparison moments is such a steal! Given the so many choices of different Toshiba laptops, I decided to get this Satellite L40, the first complete line up of ROHS compliant notebook. Super reliable and super environmental friendly too!

Here's another shot of my daughter when I caught her tweaking my unit! She was around thirteen months here, I was completely shocked and speechless when I first saw this, can you see how serious she was?! yes, she was blogging! lol

sound tripping

Whenever I came across people having their headsets attached to their ears, sometimes I wonder what do they actually get from it, aside from hearing their favorite tunes for the hundred times in less than two hours. Or maybe, I am just being old that technology and fad doesn't get along with me not like before, blame it to my stereo type likes and the fear of embracing new things, that I think would just probably make my life more complicated. Anyways, one of those people that are into downloading songs from iTunes to her ipod is my sister. A college student whose into the latest fad and technology, whenever there is a new item released by this so called technology crazed companies, expect her to have that on her hand, sooner or later, be it from her own savings or were asked from our parents.
Actually, she is the one who told me about this iTunes Tagging with these high definition radio. At first, I was clueless on what this new thing is all about, but she explains that it is just like this am/fm radios that we are used to but only is presented in a digital manner, meaning, more clarity and expect it to be in its highest definition, that is tagged with iTunes! So technically, its just like having your gadgets more and new radio stations that you can actually choose from.Sounds cool right?

car show date

as ive'd said earlier, last Saturday we went to the SMX building in Macapagal for the Auto Salon 2007 car show. i wasn't supposed to go with the husband but he insist! hehehehe... it's going to be a date daw! naks! sweet.. so there, we weren't able to go directly to the show itself because it's almost lunch time so we decided to grab a bite at Teriyaki Boy. i had the chicken don meal, Gyoza and Miso soup the taste was good, just like lechon manok actually with a twist maybe because of the special sauce they put in it. anyways, i should have ordered a different meal if i know it. while the husband had California Maki and Ika Fry Meal. what i loved with Teriyaki Boy is the very good service they provide to customers. plating was good, taste equals the price.
hmmm...enuf with the food talks alright, so after the short walkaton at MOA we decided to go the car show, there are numbers of great cars on displays from oldschool to the newest models. every group has its own design to show. Filipino ingenuity at its finest! but what really catches my attention is this certain blue car with a message in it's drivers side window " CATION:DISABLED DRIVER" true enuf, when you open the door, you'll see this metals that attaches to the pedals of the car customed made for the disabled owner of the car! i mean, who would have thought to make one for the a disabled person?! but sureness... the driver can drive! and knows how to style his car! galing!

thin tube

i remember myself blogging about the thinest and elegantly designed television sets available in the market, the one me and hubby have been dreaming of and the brackets being featured as an add on when you purchase one, good deal for those who can afford to get one, and here is more, recently they even presented the world with the latest design on plasma stand! so when you decided to get one of the most wanted plasma tv, you can get those sleek designed stand for the sets too! no need to worry on where and how to have it displayed or being worried if it will fit perfectly on the spot you reserved it will be place or anything like that, now there are stands available made to accompany those beautiful plasma tubes!

external drive

i remember my husband's uncle told me a few months back that he has a back up external hard drive for all his files and stuffs. you see, he has so many softwares being run is his laptop but he doesn't want to suffer the default drives of it for the amount of loads that needs to be save, so he bought one and have it as his back up. sometimes he only brings that with him whenever he goes out to see and install some softwares and other programs in his friends unit. a very convenient of owning a handful of softwares isn't? having one is an advantage for those who are into gearing up their own computers and notebooks. and for the programmers and computer wizards out there who are into creating softwares and programs too.

flat and classy

we doesn't have a tv in our bedroom. we wanted to, but we just can't. you know why? because the space is so small that putting a television rack is impossible. father in law suggested on putting a wall bracket in one of the corners of the room but i heard it's quite pricey, and since our household does hold a budget, getting one is out of the priorities. maybe next time. so i wonder how much more for the price of plasma lcd wall mount brackets?! men, given the super high cost of an lcd tv means almost the same for the holder don't you think? lcd screen...wow! ive'd been dreaming of that since the start of the flat screen invasion... someday, i'll get to watch on that type of screen in our very own tv room! yes darling, i'm dreaming. :)
